Our story like many begins with love and first sight.
Like most we too were blessed to be being owned by this amazing breed.
This is the original introduction I had written for our website.
Since I can remember, I have adored dogs, especially terriers. For some reason, their intelligent, strong yet affectionate personalities have attracted me. The terrier I always thought I would get someday, was to be a Yorkshire Terrier.
In 1998, I saw my first pictures of a skye terrier and thought it might be worth looking into. So, the search began. Not knowing anything, we sent an email to the STCA and within hours, the late Mrs Donna Dale of Gleanntan Kennels wrote back saying, there was a litter not far from where we were in Brussels, Belgium.
Just when I gave up hope, a day before my birthday things changed. I got the chance to go and see the litter and the only boy of the first Lynsidemore breeding. Mrs Solange Vanderlinden was wonderful. In the few hours we were there we learned more about skyes than some do in a lifetime. But, what I recall above all of that splendid summer afternoon is, seeing a proud mum Lynn (Ch. Talytot Diadora) and her stunning beauty. Her elegance and charm left such a mark on me, that i prayed and hoped if I got her son and was blessed with half her persona I would be the luckiest person alive.
Little did I know what lay ahead.
Wallace joined me on July 2nd 1998. A day, I will never forget. He was the perfect boy. True to his skye personality, devoted, attentive and loving to me. Truly my baby.
He grew like a weed in the months ahead, some days long, some days high but at the age of 15 months the skye that returned home to visit his family was a male of stunning and exceptional quality, true to his legacy. And a personality to DIE FOR!!
Our first show with Wally was the international in Liege, Belgium. And though the ring experience was a great start, what made that day memorable was the fact that Wally got to meet his family. This day was also another turning point for us, as meeting 'grandma' Elke (Spinnrock of the Morningsky fame), and seeing her skye terriers so adorably cuddled up, only strengthened my resolve to get a female.
Soon after, Pandora joined us. And 15 months later, our second Morningsky, Merrique. The threesome went on to win some major shows and add amazing titles to their credit, but what remains the highlight is that my skyes are first and foremost part of the family. They sit and watch TV with us, cuddle in bed with me and enjoy a hot cup of tea and a good book; they go anywhere and everywhere with us, including, travelling with us to Italy, to visit my family.
The most important thing is they are loved and love ten fold back.
Our skye terriers brought the breed back to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg after over 50 years.

The former Grand Duchess Charlotte was a huge admirer of the breed. She was said to have walked her skye pack in the town square- PLACE CLAIRE FONTAINE drawing great love and attention to the breed. A statue dedicated to the Duchess stands with great pride reminding us all of her devotion and love in all aspects of her life.

'The dogs of Charlotte' is how people with misty eyes would call our skyes. Needless to say, soon they were an amazing sight to walk all over town. They were welcome anywhere and everywhere they went. Including restaurants. It was a great joy to know this warm admiration and love we got from strangers and friends alike!! And of course, the skyes loved this attention.
In Spring 2002 when we had our first litter we thought that would all change. How wrong we were. The Z litter only went on to add to this bond of love.
Each home is blessed with this love and we are blessed with this honor.
We have gained new friends and family. We have learned about our own limitations and strenghts. And we have come to learn, that love, is indeed, unconditional and knows no bounds nor limits.
Each changing season brings with it new hopes and new milestones. I for one can never wait to see what is around the corner.
But no matter what we do or how high we go, one thing is always going to stay true. We are here thanks to our breeders, friends, judges, skye family and especially our COVEN.
And so, the journey continues, to realize dreams we never knew we had..............
Today however, it is more than eleven years ago since this love affair began. And though all this still holds true we have learnt one thing. We are stronger for all the ups and downs we have been through. The roller coaster was an overwhelming high and one we still can ride and be proud of.
Having moved continents and left racism and petty jealousy behind (though it shows its ugly face still) we have had a new start. A promising start with Merrique still making magic and Stella still turning heads!! Duncan and Rowan still breaking hearts.
Many have tried to scare us and bully us into quitting but it was the wisdom of an old school that prevailed.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!
Stronger than ever, more confident than ever, more sure of our skyes than ever, ready to role the dice.
LET'S PLAY!!
Only the future knows what it holds but one things the cards will always read is: This love affair has NO ending. And so, as our coven continues its journey to immortality, come join the ride, it is a high you will not want to give up. A love affair you will not want to end, a strength you will be proud to find in your self like we did.
WELCOME TO OUR COVEN!!!
