Duncan is a very low and long, classic skye. Though he is the spitting image of his paternal grandmother Diadora and his dam Pandora (depends whom he feels like being any given day) he has a look that is uniquely his own. His elegance and his grace comes from the matriarchs before him, but his wild playful nature is his own. Duncan began his show career in Italy at the terrier club special in Verona and the International show (2002) the next day. He was BOS puppy to his sister Zenobia. Duncan has been head on with his litter mates and held his own.
His big break came in Switzerland at the 2003 Luzern double show weekend. Under the late judge (and our dear friend) Mr Alexander Hehl, Duncan went best youth BOB over his sister Zenobia and overall Best of Breed over his dam Pandora. The same day at the special held by the terrier club Duncan was placed 3 best at the terrier show honor ring.
In Luzern, Duncan and his sister Zenobia both won the Crufts Qualifiers and had the opportunity of going to the show in 2004. They were the first 2 dogs of Luxemborgish breeding to attend the show. Under the judge Sine Threfal (Acheo Kennels, Isle of Skye) they did not place high but held their own and made us proud. The show had another bonus, as Godma Olga of the legendary Olivia Kennels joined us in Luxembourg for a few days for a visit. What more could we ask for.
Duncan returned to Verona as a young adult and took the CACIB under the late Marina Giudetti and so began his journey that continues. His international title was completed under the world reputed all breed judge Mr Dan Ericsson at the international show in San Marino where he took the Mediterranean Winner 2006 too.
The critiques and words of high inspiration Duncan has been awarded with ring louder than all his titles.
Duncan however is a mamma's boy.
A charmer who has made friends and won admirers all over.
What the future has in store for this 'Highlander' of ours, is only limited by his imagination.
