Nicole had grown up with her grandmother's skye terriers and like most of us, she could not ever let go of the breed. After a long search she came into contact with Lestat's 'grandparents' the amazing Colin and Lynne Richardson in the UK. Through a reference from them Nicole came into our lives and the skye terrier returned in hers. The rest as they say is history.
Oban went to Nicole, at the age of 6 months. At 15.5 months he returned back to Luxmebourg and in 2 weeks won the home title declaring himself the youngest ever and home bred champion at the tender age of ONLY 16 months. As far as we can tell his record still holds. He stayed with us for the next two months and was shown in France and Germany where he went best of breed multiple times. By the age of 2 years, Oban had completed his requirements for his FCI international title. His crowning glory came in Monaco in 2004. We celebrated his dad's Monaco title and Oban's international title the same day. It was a great Easter Weekend.
Taking a break he returned in the ring and went on to conquer his country of residence. He went on to wrap up his Italian title and took the ENCI Campione del Anno 2005 title. Five years prior his sire had been awarded the same merit at the Milan World Show.
Under breed specialist UK judge Mr Alan Stephenson, Oban went on to win BEST in SHOW at the Scottish Breed Specialty Show.
